New but taken from last complete power units from Rover. Sold as soiled unit. this gearbox was modified for extra strength in the Japan market for cars with fuel injection/ Most internal parts are listed as the same as for 1990 on so it may well be that the case was modified to improve lubrication.This gearbox will only fit a twin point block. it lacks the provision for the fitment of the external oil pipe which comes from the engine. the boss is there on the gearbox casting but it is not drilled/tapped. it may be that it can be drilled and tapped to suit the earier cars.
